Launch of the book “Precision Medicine in Cardiology”
28/07/2025Prof. Dr. Francisco Laurindo, a professor in the Cardiology program, was elected a full member of the São Paulo State Academy of Sciences (ACIESP), in recognition of his trajectory of research excellence and contribution to the advancement of science in Brazil and worldwide.
The professor was the first Brazilian to preside over the world’s leading scientific society for redox biology, SfRBM.
For the professor, receiving this appointment was quite significant, especially given his competition with leading scientists and researchers. “I don’t see it as a personal promotion, but as a responsibility to serve the scientific community and society, in addition to contributing to reaffirming the importance of science. I am pleased to further contribute to São Paulo’s leading role in national and international scientific activity, and I hope this recognition can inspire and encourage our leaders to also follow this path”, emphasized the new full member of ACIESP.
